RELEASE POLICY

The rock dove (homing pigeon) is truly one of God's many miracles of nature. There is currently no scientific explanation for the ability of these amazing creatures to locate the home loft when released from locations hundreds of miles from home.

This miracle allows us to humanely provide our white dove release services throughout the greater Houston vicinity. When properly trained, in good health, and within certain weather parameters, even the greatest distances we fly are barely a challenge to the capabilities of our doves.

They return to a clean loft, a nice meal, fresh water, and a bath pan to keep them snowy white for the next service.

We practice the following release policies...

We place the health and safety of our birds first and foremost. For this reason, we adhere to a humane release policy with strict provisions to protect our beautiful birds from dangerous circumstances.

The members of our group have been asked to join because they have demonstrated high professional standards in the operation of their businesses and knowledge of animal husbandry as it relates to their birds.

1. We maintain only properly banded healthy, white homing pigeons who are well trained to return home when released. White homing pigeons are the only type of bird that can be trained to fly home. The release of untrained pigeons or any other type of white bird is an unacceptable alternative because they are unable to navigate home or survive in the wild.
   
   
2. We release our trained birds only from distances from which they can safely fly home.
   
   
3. We release our birds only when there is sufficient time for them to return home prior to sunset.
   
   
4. We will only release our birds outside and only under favorable weather conditions that allow them to safely navigate home. Inclement weather such as heavy rain, thunderstorms, fog, high winds and snow, or combinations thereof, are conditions in which our birds cannot safely navigate.
   
   
5. We ensure that an experienced, punctual, properly attired coordinator accompanies our birds to each event. Providing birds for self release is an unacceptable alternative.
   
   
6. Our goal is to enhance your event with a flawless release and to assure a safe flight home for our birds.

If we are not able to do the release due to circumstances under our control, we will refund your service fees less any agreed upon charges (preplanning, rehearsals). For example, if we know well before leaving home on the day of your booking that weather will prohibit a release, we will notify you immediately and refund your release service fees.

If we are unable to release due to sudden and unexpected weather changes or other acts of God after we have arrived at the release site, we will refund all release fees less 20% for time and travel. We will also offer to substitute another service if the release is not possible.

If the release is delayed past the agreed upon latest "safe" release time for the birds due to other events and circumstances not within our control, we will not refund release fees. This would include delays in starting the ceremony, longer than anticipated photographic sessions, etc. Therefore it is very important that we schedule the release with adequate buffer time for unexpected delays within your control.

We guarantee that every event we book will be attended by at least one release coordinator, that proper attire will be worn for the event, and that coordinators will be 100% reliable and on time.
